A carefree Coimbatore college student, Shiva, casually stumbles into flings with two older women — only to later discover that they are his girlfriend’s elder sister and mother. What begins as reckless charm turns into a hilariously awkward family entanglement after marriage.

🎭 Review

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, Sweety Naughty Crazy positions itself as the kind of rom-com that makes you cringe and chuckle at the same time. Shiva (Thrigun) is less a mastermind and more a man who accidentally walks into trouble. His flirtations with his tuition teacher and another older woman aren’t part of any grand plan — he simply trips into situations.

The twist? After marrying his girlfriend Anitha (Srijitaa Ghosh), he visits her hill station home only to realise that his past flings are now part of his immediate family. It’s essentially a long-form “your mom” joke — with an added sibling complication.

The film plays heavily on suggestive humour and double entendres. Attraction is portrayed with very little subtlety, and the camera often mirrors Shiva’s gaze. Implied romantic encounters are staged with exaggerated reactions and playful sound cues, keeping things cheeky rather than explicit. Much of the comedy unfolds in locker-room-style conversations between Shiva, his friends, and their warden — filled with winks, wordplay, and over-the-top teasing.

Yet, beneath the juvenile humour, there is an undeniably workable comic premise. Director Rajasekar G gives the film a contemporary gloss that prevents it from feeling outdated. The awkwardness of the central reveal is milked effectively, and a handful of gags genuinely land.

However, the genre comes with built-in limitations. Adult comedies operate within a narrow corridor — too tame and the energy dips; too crude and it risks alienating viewers. Sweety Naughty Crazy walks that tightrope without falling, though never quite soaring either.

🎬 Performances

  • Thrigun fits comfortably into the clueless charmer archetype.

  • Srijitaa Ghosh plays the sweet, unsuspecting girlfriend with conviction.

  • Iniya, Ravi Mariya, and Thambi Ramaiah contribute familiar comedic beats that add flavour to the chaos.

🎯 Final Verdict

Sweety Naughty Crazy works best as a light, guilty-pleasure watch. It delivers enough awkward humour to entertain, even if you constantly feel the ceiling of its genre pressing down.

Rating: 2.75/5 ⭐⭐⭐
Cheeky, cringey, and occasionally clever — just don’t expect depth beyond the double meanings.
