The 18-8 stainless steel acorn nut meets Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) 1587 standards. The acorn nut, also called a cap nut, has a domed top that covers exposed threads on rods, studs, and bolts. The 18-8 stainless steel material provides strength and offers good corrosion resistance in many environments. The material may be slightly magnetic.Nuts are internally threaded fasteners that are used with bolts and threaded rods and studs to connect components.
