Jenma Natchathiram – Movie Review
Introduction
Jenma Natchathiram, directed by B. Manivarman, is a supernatural thriller that dives into the eerie world of satanic cults, nightmares, and a desperate hunt for hidden money. With horror elements at its core, the film tries to blend human emotion, fear, and dark beliefs into a psychological drama.

Storyline
Thaman (Taman Aakshan) lives a seemingly normal life with his pregnant wife (Malvi Malhotra), who is constantly haunted by terrifying nightmares. Things spiral into the bizarre when a friend, played by Kali Venkat, reveals that he’s hidden crores of rupees in an abandoned factory to save his ailing daughter.

Thaman, his wife, and friends set out to retrieve the money—only to find themselves entangled in a web of sinister forces. The factory is not just a hiding place for cash, but a hub for demonic rituals and dark secrets. As nightmarish visions begin to mirror reality, Thaman must uncover the truth and fight back against both real and supernatural threats.

Performance Highlights
Technical Brilliance
Cinematography by KG is a standout, especially in capturing the eerie atmosphere of the abandoned factory.
Music by Sanjay Manickam supports the horror tone well, with an effective background score that heightens tension during crucial scenes.
Editing by S. Guru Surya is fast-paced, but at times confusing—especially when dealing with layered supernatural sequences.
Direction and Production
Director B. Manivarman attempts to weave horror with psychological drama and themes of satanic cults. While the concept holds promise, the storytelling falters due to uneven pacing and vague exposition. The production value is solid, especially with the support of Amohom Studios and Whitelamp Pictures, but the screenplay struggles to deliver a cohesive narrative.

Plus
Strong performances by Taman Aakshan and Malvi Malhotra.
Haunting visuals of the factory elevate the horror experience.
Kali Venkat and Munishkanth add depth with their screen presence.
Unique concept involving satanic belief and supernatural horror.

Minus
Weak screenplay fails to fully capitalize on its core concept.
Predictable jump scares and horror clichés.
Lack of narrative clarity in crucial portions.
Underdeveloped side characters despite a talented cast.

Final Thoughts
Jenma Natchathiram has the ingredients of an intriguing supernatural thriller: a dark setting, creepy visions, cult elements, and moral dilemmas. However, the execution doesn’t live up to its potential. While some scenes succeed in creating suspense and fear, the lack of coherence and emotional depth limits the film’s overall impact.
